Hey team! It's an honor to be working with such an incredible group!

Name: Mike
Age: 33
Location: Milwaukee, Wi

Educational Background: Undergraduate degrees in Computer Science, Communications
Job: User Experience Designer (Usability and UI guy)

Hobbies: Writer, game design
Interests: Anime, Video Games (RPG, MMO, ACTION), Jpop, working out, relaxing to music (classical, some anime/movies scores like .hack or Xenosaga 2&3)

Background:
I'm a pretty big geek!

I’ve worked in the information systems areas for commercial advertising companies, online children’s communities, and did technical consulting for fortune 500 businesses. My expertise includes the many phases of the software development life cycle including: user interviews and requirements gathering, solution engineering, code development, testing, deployment and support. For the past seven years my emphasis has been on user centered design, user interface design and usability.

During my stint with advertising companies I built on my knowledge of market research and analysis, marketing approaches and commercial advertising.

Beyond user research and usability, I have a talent for process analysis and development of documentation and templates. I’m a firm believer in clear communications that convey a consistent message across multiple audiences.

When not at work or with family or working hard here, I'm also a writer and video game junkie. Smile

Name: Michelle
Age: SG-1 knows me as one of The Ancients
Location: Phoenix, AZ

Education: MS Urban Planning

Background: I'm a former MUDer, text gamer, early RPGer, and fanatic MMO/MMORPGer. I've been playing computer games since before Al Gore invented the internet. Razz I started with Dungen, which became Zork, and played all its iterations before moving on to the early versions of Might & Magic. As the industry progressed from 5 1/4" floppies to 3 1/2" to CDs and now DvDs, my list of games has grown to be in the hundreds. I've beta tested more than 30 games, and alpha tested about a quarter of those. I have a large group of friends I've collected along the way, known as The All Night Gamerz.

My Alternate Life: I've been married for many years to a terrific guy who is Director of Analytic Development for a major bank, and we have two terrific sons who are currently at ASU working on degrees in Electrical Engineering and Biochemistry (geeky family but we have very interesting dinner conversations)!

Interests: Too many, but some major ones are reading, pretending I'm a Photoshop artist (I have the soul of an artist - I just lack all the talent), riding dirt bikes with my family, playing with my many websites, creating artist trading cards, traveling, attending concerts with my 21 year old biochem geek son, and telling my 125 pound German Shepherd, Raider, what a good puppy he is.

And just to prove I'm not really an alien:

Name: Christopher Honour
Age: 21
Location: Santiago de Chile ( http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y93/Asurael/Google-EarthCasa.jpg )

Education: Highschool graduate currently studying Civil Engineering

Job: Fortunately no job yet ^^, Im proud to say I live with my family and have no immediate plans of leaving.

Background: I have to be honst in saying I have no professional background since I've never had the need to find a job before or even had the interest in doing so. But my unofficial background would include lots of videogame playing and planning, in fact I've had my share ammount of experience in using RPG Maker for making my own games, even though I've never really finished one xD, i get too committed to the little details and work alone so I rarely finish a game before I get another cool idea or small personal project. I've never had any sort of art class before, but I've taught myself well enough how to draw and make use of Photoshop. But since this project, I've been pondering over the idea of seriously becoming a Game Director, and that involves studying whatever will help me get there, after getting an Engineering degree that is.

My Alternate Life: My life outside of PTS involves going to college, rarely studying Rolling Eyes and having fun with friends and family, not much to look at but I enjoy it.

Interests: My interest cover a wide range of activities and such. Unoficially (outside PTS), I like tabletop wargames (specially Warhammer 40K), collecting swords and such, drawing and almost anything creative, and of course, videogames, I guess you could say I've been into videogames since the oldschool days, starting with the NES and moving on. And since my brother is studying to become a film director, I also have some interest on movies.

Oficially (inside PTS), I'm interested in, quite frankly, all aspects of the project, but of course I have preferences. I'm particularly drawn to the Beast tasks as well as any other task that involves the use of creativity and requires any means of art.

And just so doran isnt the only one showing his geeky self, Im posting my picture as well Razz, keep in mind though that its a bit outdated, I dont have any recent pictures of myself. This is when me and my family took a trip to Spain, I'm the one on the left.

Name: Yana Malysheva
Age: 23
Location: Princeton, NJ

Education: BS in Math and Computer Science (that's one degree, not a double), MS in Applied Math

Job: "Web Developer and Programmer" (read: odd "outgoing data"-related job doer) as a contractor for a Government research place... kinda complicated, huh?

Interests: Video Games: RPGs, sims, puzzle, weird concept games. Other interests/hobbies: Animals (especially dogs), animation and cartoons, Outdoors-type fun kids stuff like kites and sledding and tree climbing and Heelys(Embarassed), math and programming (yes, I know, nerd...). Probably something else...

Background:
Um, I don't have much professional background yet... Though I guess I have learned a handful of scripting/programming languages along the way (C++ is still my favorite...) I don't have much of an area of expertise other than "a little bit of everything"
Random personal stuff: I'm Russian... moved to America when I was almost 13... that's kinda interesting. I have two younger brothers, a dog, and a husband.
TS-related: as many of us here, I started playing games rather early, but I really got into them (particularly RPGs) when I was around 14-15, so relatively late... I've been programming since I was about 10, and of course my first project was a game... since then, I've been playing around with making bits of games, but nothing seriously completed - yet.

TS areas of interest: Everything! stuff like attributes/skills/abilities and other "formula-heavy" stuff, the social/community aspect, the player/beast emotional connection, achieving the right "mood" response through gameplay...

Picture of me making a funny face:

Name: Anjel Slauenwhite

Age: 29

Location: New Scotland, Canada ( I Am Canadian! mmm beer)

Education: High School Grad,NCCP-1 Gymnastics Technical & Practical (Coaching), Parapsychology.

Job: Presently Unemployed (Professional Mod, lol)

Background: Hmmm my brackground in terms of gaming reachs back into my misspent youth, starting with standing on milk crates in my grandfathers bar to play pinball and pac man. Progressed through the Coleco and Atari era, into the Nes, Snes, Sega Gen, and onward through to the present. With a long history of MMO beta testing and playing behind me , including time spent as a mod and a GM.

In terms of game design, I spent several years on the RPG maker scene both fiddling with my own ideas as well as consulting on storyline, world/level design, voice acting and script writing. Submissions to various games in terms of storyline, some worked out, others didn't given the nature of many companies these days and in past days this is how it goes. Did some map creation for Warcraft II, Command and Conquer, Star Craft and Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds/Clone Campaigns, but nothing significant in that area lol just for my personal amusement or sharing with friends heh. Ever looking to become involved in design, writing and the industry, who knows what might become of me someday lol.

Interests: Keen Human Observer, Marketing, Video Games (Duh) , Game Design (duh), Game Production (Dur), Community Growth and Development (duh), Writing (dur), Novels of all genre's, movies, women, sex (women and sex go hand in hand I find), History (both ancient and contemp), Music, and all manner of things.

Focus: Minister Without Portfolio

Peeves: Intense allergic reaction to stupidity

Well here I am, thought I'd give some more info than my mentor post

Name: Adrian Clark
Age: 24
Where?: Victoria, Australia
Family: Married with 5 fur Kids (3 Cats and 2 Dogs)
Occupation: I.T. Assistant at a Local Club.

TS Track Record: Well I'm one of the originals, so I've seen it all, the highs and the lows, but I stuck through to finally become a mentor, where I helped get it to where it is today. From this work, and with the dwindling Mod population, I was then selected as Mod and man didn't I spend a few days reading (You would be stunned with the amount of work that goes on behind the scenes), and after a few people left the AB board some spots opened up, I gave 'em my two cents and here i am now. Very Happy

Who the hell are you and how come I've never/rarely seen you around? Well lets say that I'm a behind the scenes man., I do a lot of my work during the quiet times of TS (Because I'm from Australia the prime time stuff occurs while I work). I do a lot of the mundane and boring stuff that has to be done but others don't have time to do. I help out everywhere I can. (Remember Google Docs is your Friend). A lot of the work I do can't be seen by the majority of the forum.

What about Gaming and you? Well like everyone I've been playing games since I was a wee little tacker. Playing, commodore 64, megadrive, PS, Gameboy, DS, Wii, PS2, PC, everything I could get my hands on. I just loved games, and always said that someday I'd love to work in the industry. Before this project I was getting ready to start my own games company, creating education games (Of which i believe there could be a lot more). But that got a backfoot for this project, because I believe this project could give me a great grounding of learning for my business in the future.

Other than gaming? Well my second love is Music. I've been playing guitar for about 12 years and Singing for about 7. I love my Maton 325C although I don't play it as much as a use too, I still play it whenever I get the chance. I suppose my final enjoyment in life has only really come about during the last couple of years, and that's with cars. I was never a big car fan till I started hanging round a few revheads. That's when I bought my 1991 S13 SR20DET Manual Nissan Silvia(Turbo) Thought it may not be the fastest car (I'm working on it) it still goes pretty damn quick, and it looks sensational. If I'm not playing guitar or playing games, I'm cruising in my car.

Wow that was long. But that's pretty much me.

Adrian

Oh here are some Pics
